Information on Jupiter |
Jupiter is the fifth planet from the sun and is the largest planet in our solar system. The planet is giant gas plants that don’t have a layer structure of terrestrial rock planets. By looking at Jupiter you can clearly see the strips in the clouds and the big red spot. |

Atmosphere: Jupiter has the most dynamic atmosphere and the most riveting cloud patters and storms this is because of all the gases that Jupiter has. Jupiter atmosphere is very complex because of the molecules like helium, hydrogen and sulfur. The atmosphere of Jupiter itself has a very narrow surface layer. The three cloud decks of Jupiter are found at different levels of its troposphere whilst hazes of smog can be found in the higher atmosphere of Jupiter. |

Moons and Rings: Jupiter has about 60 moons orbiting it and a very bright and colourful ring system. There are four moons that are most interesting these are Galilean satellites: Lo has an active volcanism, Europa possibility of waterand habitable life. And also Ganymeda and Callisto. |

Discovered Jupiter: Jupiter is the largest planet in our solar system, the most prominent feature of Jupiter is the Great Red spot. Since the 1600’s there has been observation of the violent storms Jupiter has. No on knows who discovered Jupiter but it is named after a Greek god Zeus. Jupiter has its own little solar system with the four big moons: Lo, Europa, Ganymede and Callisto were discovered in 1610 by Galileo. Most of the over smaller moons werefound by the flyby of the voyager spacecraft. |
