Information on Earth

Earth is the third planet from the sun, and is the larger planet in the inner planets range. Earth is a unique planet in the solar system because it is the only one that seems to support life on. The Earth was formed about 4.5 billion years ago. The Earth is divided into four layers , which is typical for a rocky planet. The Earths surface is different from the other planets, it is mostly covered in water and the rest is land (rock0 and it is a blue-green look to it. There are many different features on earth like volcanoes, highlands, mountains, earthquakes, oceans, rivers, lakes and beaches that are only unique to Earth because all the other planets don’t have them all.

Atmosphere: Earths atmosphere is protecting us by blocking any dangerous rays from the sun. The atmosphere is amix of gases that become thinner as they reach out to space. The Earths atmosphere consists of 78% nitrogen, 21%oxygen and 1% of other gases. The ozone layer around the Earth keeps out the harmful ultraviolet radiation the sun emits. Due to the increase of carbon dioxide the earth is heating up the trapped rays from the sun and could occur in the first layer. cause the greenhouse effect. The Earths atmosphere is made up of five layers, which have different temperatures as they increase but most of the weather does occur in the first layer.
