World of Warcraft is the leading subscription based MMORPG (Massive Muliplayer Online Role Playing Game) which is created by a company called Blizzard. World of Warcraft is in a line of Warcraft games such as

  1. Warcraft I : Orcs and Humans
  2. Warcraft II : Tides of Darkness
  3. Warcraft III : Reign of Chaos
  4. World of Warcraft
  5. World of Warcraft Burning Crusade

There were however expansion packs such as

  • Warcraft II: Beyond the Dark Portal
  • Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne

Realms

There are 4 different types of Realms on World of Warcraft and these are

  • Player Veruses Environment (PvE)
  • Player Veruses Player (PvP)
  • Role Playing (RP)
  • Role Playing Player Veruses Player (RPPvP)

Each realm enables the character to do something different. In PvE realms players focus more on leveing characters and getting better armor and weapons. PvP still happens but only in designated areas which are the battlegrounds. PvP realms allows players to do PvP outside of the battlegrounds. Most players in PvP realms still like to do higher level instances but still PvP to get the Warlord armor at levelt 70. In RP realms are simular to PvE realms but players act more in character. If you misbehave in a RP server

Creating A Character

World of Warcraft took place in a World called Azeroth until recently with the new expansion pack a new planet which consists of two sides which are: The Horde and The Alliance. There are now 5 races to choose from on each team thanks to the new expansion pack. In each race there are classes such as Hunters, Warriors Priest etc. Some races can only be certain classes. Choosing a name is very important because you can't change it once you've created it.

You can choose a varity of characteristics which will make the character such as:

  • Skin Colour
  • Face
  • Hair Colour
  • Hair Style
  • Facical Hair ( for male characters )
  • Horn colour ( for taurens )
  • Horn style

Item Bound Types

Not Bound - Items can be equipped, removed, or traded at any time and in any order.
Bind on Equip - You can trade this item if you haven't equipped it. Once you equip it, you can no longer trade it with other players.
Bind on Use - Once you have used this item, you can no longer trade it.
Bind on Acquire - Once you pick up the item, you will no longer be able to trade it with other players. Be very careful not to loot this item if you're not supposed to have it permanently.
Quest Items - Quest Items are bound to your character. You cannot trade them.
Durability
Item durability is an important aspect of World of Warcraft that works to stabilize the economy, decrease inflation specifically in the high end game, and in general keep prices of player sold items lower than normally would occur without such a feature. Durability should also add additional depth to the game since players will have more variety in their items and more abilities will be added over time to interact with durability. Item durability is different from item decay in that players will never lose items through item durability. On death, all equipped items will lose 10% durability.
