Land ut Gods beckons for Internet Foxes!
On Sunday 2nd April, the Internetfoxes travel up to Huddesfield to take part in the annual Land ut Gods tournament.
A one day event in which the Internetfoxes have a good history, having participated in 3 Land u’t Gods Tournaments.
So this will be our fourth time in Huddersfield and our previous three visits have ended in a semi-final loss.
We are hoping to better that this year. Despite having over 150 different players turn out for us over the years,
this tournament will have 5 players representing us who played in our very first game six and a half years ago.
Also most of this squad would have played in this tournament before. The Internet Foxes are managed by Bob Wood with
a number of people contributing to the running of the team. The team captain is Phil Bray and he’ll be hoping for a
successful and enjoyable day for Leicester City.

Winning Streak Continues
Saturday 11th March saw the Internetfoxes take a 13 man squad down the M1 to Northampton, who had previously only
been beaten once this season. It was Northampton that started the stronger, taking a 1 - 0 lead in the early stages
But a strong fight back from the Internetfoxes saw 3 first half goals from Jamie J, Tom Measures and Top scorer Luke H
saw us go in a half time 3 - 1 up. The second half saw Northampton come back into the game abit, but about halfway through
the second half, the IF's broke away only for Tom M to see his shot cannon back off the crossbar, luckily Luke was on
hand to head in the rebound. 4 - 1 to the Internetfoxes, and the IF's now went into LCFC mode, and with 10 minutes
to go saw them get a goal back. 7 minutes later saw them score another to make it 4 - 3 to the IF's. Now it was going to
be a nervous last few minutes as Northampton went on an all out attack.with seemingly 30 seconds to go they won a corner.
Everyone came up for it including their keeper. The ball made its way into the middle and after a goal mouth scramble we
just managed to clear it! The ball went to Luke H who had two defenders around him but no one over their side of the
halfway. With Luke's pace he could have had his second hat-trick in two games by just running the ball in, but no he decided
he wanted to do a Joey Gudjonnson and score from halfway. He slipped over in the process which would have been really funny
except it now meant Northampton had the ball and could have attacked again. Fortunately we managed to clear it and the ref
blew for full time. We had managed a second straight win! The first time since January 2001 we'd won back to back 90 minute games.
