| There are activities during the week to suit everyone. If you are interested in joining any of the groups listed below please just turn up at the appointed time and you will be made very welcome. |

Monday
Toddlers Group
All parents, Grandparents and Carers are welcome to join our friendly Toddlers Group. There are toys galore and arts & crafts for the children; whilst the adults can chat with their refreshments.
We meet from 10.30am to 11.30am, during school term time, in the Church Hall. There is a small charge of 50p per session.
Ladies Fellowship Meetings
The Ladies Fellowship offers an open invitation to everyone. We are about 20 in number (on a good night). We meet on the fourth Monday in the month at 7.30pm in the Church Hall.
We have a different speaker each month or a demonstration; sometimes we have a workshop which includes painting, card making and even woodwork!
We also like to go out for a meal in the summer months.
The highlight of our year is the Shrovetide Supper. Half of the proceeds go to the Church and half to a charity (Rainbows, Loros, Air Ambulance, Take Heart, etc).
We also have a night of entertainment for Church Funds in October. All are welcome, come and give us a try.
Tuesday
Church Lads & Girls Brigade
Come and learn about Jesus whilst having fun, playing games and being creative in a friendly atmosphere in the Church Hall.
Children aged 5 to 7 years meet from 6.15pm to 7.15pm. Those aged from 7 to 16 meet from 7.30pm to 8.30pm.
Wednesday
Choir Practice
The St Denys Church Choir has 14 regular members (ladies and gentlemen) and meets on Wednesday evenings at 7.00pm for choir practice, which lasts for approximately one hour. During which time it rehearses the hymns and psalms required for the normal services and also special anthems.
The choir's main function is to support Church Services and on specific occasions, such as Easter, Armistice and Christmas will sing an anthem. During the Nine Lessons and Carols service at Christmas the choir will usually sing three or four anthems with soloists singing certain verses.
The Choir Mistress and Organist is Mrs Marion Simpson and new members are always welcome.
We hold a prayer meeting every Wednesday at St John the Baptist Church, Heather at 7.30pm. We are a friendly group and welcome anyone who would like to join us, whether new to prayer or an old hand!
Thursday
Musical Group
During the Autumn the Bible Study group start rehearsals for their annual musical which it performs after Christmas. We are a friendly group and would warmly welcome anyone who would like to join us. Not being able to sing is not a problem! We are aiming to make a joyful noise for the Lord!!!.
This year we performed City of Gold (a mixture of song and poetry) at St Denys Church, St John the Baptist Church and Christchurch in Coalville. Please watch this space for details of our next project later in the year.
Bible Study
When our Bible Study Group are not singing we meet together every Thursday at 7.30 pm in the Methodist Church on Melbourne Road in Ibstock. We are a multi-denomination group that is open to everyone whether you have lots of knowledge about the faith or very little. We have a wide age range and have created a relaxed friendly atmosphere where we are not afraid to ask any question and we have refreshments.
