Rayman Raving Rabbids (Ubisoft)

It's wacky, it's crazy, it's Rayman Raving Rabbids. A bonanza of mini game madness, Rayman's debut on the Wii sees you swinging, skipping, swiping, shooting and swishing around like a mad man...or should that be, raving rabbid? Captured and forced to enter a series of challenges, as Rayman, you must face up to the freaky bunnies in a bid to escape from their evil clutches. The graphics on Raving Rabbids are sweet and svelte, with quick load times and no skipping. Bright and colourful settings add more punch to the package and definitely please the eye. Likewise, the sound accompanying and a rare added 'mwahaha' from the mean bunny machines bring many a smile throughout the game. Example mini games include 'dance to the music', where you have to tap to the beat with the Wii-mote and nunchuck. 'Lasso the moo' requires you to grab hold of a cow, swing the Wii-mote round in the air and release using the A button, launching that moo cow up, up, up and away! Rayman's new mini game direction, away from the typical platformer is a welcome change, however, the duration and challenge of the game could be seen as limited to the more advanced gamers amongst us. Nevertheless, the weird and wacky ways you'll be using the Wii-mote provide a great introduction to the Wii and most importantly, great fun; both for the player and those watching! Word of warning though! Achey muscles and being short of breath will be likely outcomes for those of us who only hit the gym every New Years resolution time! Get in: Get Gaming... with Rayman Raving Rabbids! |
