One-To-One Befriending

This incolves our specially trained befrienders going out to peoples homes to support them on a one-to-one basis.

This is usually once a week, at a time convenient to both the client and the befriender. However, this can be tailored to fit around bothparties, for example once a fortnight may be more suitable.

There is no time limit on this service, it goes on until either the client feels that they no longer need this support, or until the befriender feels that they have done all the work that they can with that client.

Groups

We run two in-house support groups. These are on Monday and Tuesday mornings 10-12 and are held here at the Hawthorn Centre in the Oak Room.

We also run two outreach support groups in conjunction with The Grange Day Centre. One is in Castle Donington every other Thursday afternoon 1-3. And one is in Ashby every Tuesday afternoon 1-3.

These groups are an excellent source of support for the people who attend them and are always very keen to welcome new members.

Please see our !!!Groups!!! page for more information of activites we do and to see our groups newsletter.
